Thomas and Thomas Caenis Bamboo Fly Rod 6'6" 2/2 #3 [SALE PENDING]A Thomas and Thomas "Caenis bamboo fly rod, 6'6", 2 piece, 2 tip, and built for a #3 line. Serial #3279. The rod weighs 2. 9 ounces. Impregnated cane. Used but well cared for condition. There is some brassing to the cap ring and the start of cosmetic ferrule wrap cracks. There is also some light wear to the inner snake guides. The grip has been cleaned, leaving it slightly ridged. The rod is perfectly straight and the ferrule fits are excellent.

Oven tempered wheat straw color cane in three-up node pattern construction

This rod has been fished very sparingly but remains in near mint condition

A nice Otto Zwarg 400 Laurentian model salmon reel in 3/0 size

This rod was donated by the makers to the Catskill Fly Fishing Center and Museum (CFFCM)

This reel has a very rarely seen adjustable disc drag that is very smooth

This reel comes with a scanned copy of his IGFA Hall of Fame nomination book

Comes in the original pouch and box with the original paperwork

and the drag is very stout indeed on the heaviest setting

Comes with original chocolate brown cloth slipcase with paper titling label

but not enough to prevent it from fitting into any reel seat I tested it on

2 7/8" diameter and set up for LHW though easily convertible
