The reel seat is an aluminum square thread downlocking style with a butternut wood spacer and a nickel silver pocket cap

The reel was probably never used

For sale here is a really nice example of Hardy’s full size dry fly box [6 1/4” x 3 3⁄4” x 1”] The compartments are covered by original yellow perspex lids with nickel silver studs

The script remains clean and bold with the exception of some very light wear

The reel is in good used condition with some rim rash on the frame edge in a few spots and one decent ding

Rod is in excellent condition

The rod packs into a tan cloth bag and an all aluminum lightweight tube with a gold anodized collar

The cork grip has been replaced but an attempt has been made to replicate the very short (4") and delicately tapered original
