Thompson 100 Fly Reel [SALE PENDING]A Thompson 100 fly reel, 3 3 8" diameter and set up for RHW. A scarce model, these were made in California in the late 1940's as an American counterpart to the classic Hardy Perfect. Approximately 3 4" spool width. Excellent overall condition with a few traces of cosmetic wear. A line and backing are still loaded on it. Black frame and spool with a circular lineguard. The retrieve is silent on the inbound with a click on the outbound. The smooth brass
The oil port cover is black anodized
82" spool diameter
Provided with a period bag and tube
and a likely B taper
LHW is getting hard and harder

Otherwise the reel is perfect mechanically
The uplocking square thread polished aluminum screw lock has a unitary nut with the stamp "H
some wear to the drag adjuster knob
Original tube but no felt in the cap
I'm guessing a 1930's date on this rod
The main wraps are a very light tan and with one turn of black
