Pinky Gillum Light Salmon Fly Rod 8'6" 2/2 #8A nice H. S. "Pinky" Gillum bamboo fly rod, 8'6", 2 piece, 2 tip, and built for what feels like a #8 line. Mid 1950s construction. 6. 5 ounces. Fast DF action. Serial I 959. Very good condition with the sole exception of a re wrapped snake guide at the bottom of one tip. There are a few very minor (glancing hit) hook scratches on the butt but nothing down to the cane. The varnish is very good no sign of softening or bag imprint. The rod sections are
1978 manufacture date inscribed on rod
Made in August of 1988
The "Four Striper" model is equivalent to the W&M Granger "Favorite" rod model
