Trapet Pere et Fils, 1859(from En Dere and Champerrier Dessus). A top note of herbal tea floats above the ripe aromas of various red berries along with plenty of floral and soft earth wisps. There is fine volume to the concentrated and quite serious medium weight flavors that coat the palate on the youthfully austere, firm and lingering finale. This is an excellent Gevrey villages and worth your interest.

A slightly riper and more complex nose presents notes of red currant

The 2018 El Ciruelo could very well be the finest vintage of this single-vineyard bottling

This too is quite tightly wound and will need at least a few years of patience first
