VR Design Salar Incomparabile Reel 3 5/8″A very nice VR Design (Vladimir Rachenko) Salar Incomparabile raised pillar fly reel, 3 5 8" diameter and set up for LHW. Mint condition. This is an unusual hand polished and un anodized version of Vlad's Salar model and also boasts a classic "S" style handle. Brass foot. Raised pillar design, this is the "Star" version with four single pillars encircling the reel (in addition to the double pillars on the foot). Two medallions set into the front plate
very tiny amount of end play as you will find in 95% of these reels
A temp hanger is included so that you can keep track of the tied fly without losing sight of it
Fixed 1912 era compensating check mechanism
The Duronze ferrules are size 16/64 with a nice fit
