The reel weighs 11 oz

one being in Yellowstone in 1981 where Jimmy and Rosalyn Carter acquired one of his paintings

The main wraps are "may rose" which turn a dark garnet color on the flamed blank

3 ounces on my scale (the listed weight is stated as 3 3/4 ounces)

and engraved into it a saltwater scene on the backplate

though the accompanying spare spool has no bag

It's a true four weight rod but also capable of casting a WF5

Both tips do need some straightening
