1981 Yamaha Japan SF3000 Super Flighter (Cherry Sunburst)Made in Japan for a short period of time around 1981, the SF3000 was part of the second generation of Super Flighter models and was sold only within Japan. Solid alder body with a set slim maple neck and 22 fret rosewood fingerboard (13. 75" radius, 628mm scale length, 44mm nut width), it weighs a nimble 3. 2kg's. Loaded with a single Yamaha F III humbucker controlled by volume tone knobs and a push pull coil split, this one seems to be all original

these were mostly on-off custom shop style builds created to showcase the range of SD pickups prior to their agreement with ESP

Loaded with the original Maxon U-3000 humbuckers

it appears all original with the exception of some replacement knobs and pickup rings and a brand new bone nut

The neck is straight and the truss adjusts well so you can enjoy it as it sits or put some work in to make it an absolute beast
