1983 Yamaha Japan SC3000 Super Combinator (Custom Order Blue)Looks to be a limited edition or custom order SC3000 from the early 1980's as part of Yamaha's second edition of Japanese made SC models. Bright blue gloss finish on the body and neck, the 3000 was built with an alder body, set maple neck with a 21 fret rosewood fingerboard (42mm nut width, 13. 75" radius) and weighs 3. 3kg's. looks to be all original except for a new output jack

a Vibra-matic tremolo system and a 6-bolt neck plate

This one came to us with some slight separation of the factory joins between the alder/maple in spots so we had it professionally repaired so it's solid and had the repair pinstriped over then rubbed slightly for an aged look to conceal the repair perfectly and make it look almost like a factory job

Appears to be all original with two DCS-3 single coils and a DCH-3 humbucker controlled by a 5-way selector and traditional Stratocaster wiring

The frets are vintage but still play smoothly

it's rock solid with no breaks or repairs to be seen and just regular wear and tear in the usual spots

Similar to the famous SB series but featuring a more compact body

no major marks or dings

All original except for a vintage Dimarzio Super Distortion in the neck position
