Oupia "Les Heretiques" IGP Pays d'Herault 2023A world without "Les Heretiques" is one that would be much more depressing. This is the wine connoisseur's cheap wine, a classic bistro style red from the south of France. Mostly Carignan with some Grenache from the chalky, limestone soils around Minervois in the Languedoc region. Medium bodied and little spicy, it solves a lot of problems in this crazy world of ours.

Both Muscat varieties are fermented separately (with a touch of Macabeo

or ash (thanks to the bloom of yeast that often covers the ripening grapes)

and sautéed shallot on the nose
